I’m a bit of a neat freak. I think I’ve always been that way, but it has definitely intensified living in tiny NYC apartments for the past 10 years. I’m not neurotic about it, I just need everything to have a place. I need the apartment to be straight before I go to bed. Okay, maybe I’m a little neurotic about it. Knowing this about myself, I’m concerned about the toys that are about to take over my life and living room floor in a few weeks. There’s no play room. The baby has no closet. There’s no space for a toy chest. His toys will be out for all to see. My plan to keep my meltdowns to a minimum is to buy really beautifully designed toys that I won’t mind being on the floor and shelves. I know all you mothers are rolling your eyes, giggling, knowing that plastic Doras and Diegos are inevitable. Can’t a girl a dream? Here are 15 of the prettiest toys I’ve found.
