Abigail Edwards Seascape Wallpaper

by Leslie on July 6, 2012

The wallpaper in the nursery is up! I vowed to hire someone to do it after the nightmare of painting the crib, but the bids we got were outrageous so we decided to attempt it ourselves. I’m happy to report it wasn’t so hard and I think it looks great. If you remember from my before pictures, the original wall was brick. We covered the brick with homasote board, put up a layer of wallpaper liner, which was actually a blessing in disguise as it gave us a practice round, and then hung Abigail Edwards seascape wallpaper. Because we attached it to the homasote board, we will be able to remove it when we move – our solution for using wallpaper in a rental. Watch your back, Bob Villa! The only thing left to do is add curtains. Thankfully they’ve been found, ordered, and I’m just waiting for them to arrive. Almost done with 6 weeks to spare!

Your bookends look great, but… choosing whales requires a certain book that is filled with adventure, important subtle and overt life lessons, and most importantly– a whale being at the center of its plot. No book collection would be complete without it… maybe a certain IV will send you a copy.

Leslie, I love your nursery! Great job hanging the paper yourself. Do you happen to have any extra leftover you would be willing to sell for my nursery? Thanks!
