The New York Times 36 Hours Book

by Leslie on February 6, 2012

One of the things I love most about living in New York City is that you can get in your car and in no time you’re in another state. I grew up in Houston where you drive for an hour and you’re still in Houston so this little fact never ceases to amaze me. It really opens up our options for a quick, inexpensive weekend getaway. Whether we want to go to the beach in Montauk, the mountains in Vermont, or a city like Boston, it’s all doable. If we’re willing to fly, well, the possibilities are endless. I’ve come to really appreciate a good weekend trip so I was thrilled to see that The New York Times has made a book of their 36 Hours column. The book offers an expertly planned itinerary for a 36 hour period in 150 cities and towns all over the US and Canada. It’s the perfect travel book for all of us weekend getaway lovers!
