Tessa takes New York

by Leslie on July 19, 2011

My sister brought my 2 year old niece, Tessa, to visit us in NYC for the first time this past weekend and we had so much fun! Here are some of the highlights of the trip…

We traveled all over the city by subway, foot and taxi

Ate ice cream at least twice a day

Splashed at the water lab in Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 and hung around at Pier 25 at the Hudson River Park (It’s amazing how kid friendly NYC is)

Had a picnic in Central Park and watched Dora and Diego’s 4D Adventure at the Central Park Zoo
(embarrassed to say the Zoo, pretty lame, while 4D movie, surprisingly really cool)

Slept on the palette I made using all the decorations I had on hand and screamed “CHEESE!” every time I took a picture.

I have never been more exhausted (hence no post yesterday) but it was worth it!

I love you, Kari & Tess, and can’t wait for you to come back.

Thanks Leslie for sharing your week-end. It was fun to see Tess who I’m certain is as full of energy as her mom was at that age!! Makes me tired just thinking abt it. So glad you girls are close. I look forward to all your posts because A) they are interesting and beautifully presented, and B) I really don’t have much going on……….lol

Love, Betty

We love you too, Aunt Lulu! Thank you for an awesome weekend!

Betty, what Leslie left out was that Tessa threw such a fit when we had to leave the water park, that I had to carry her 15 blocks kicking and screaming the whole way. Did I have THAT kind of energy when I was her age?? :-) (Loved seeing your post, xoxo)

Looks like so much fun! So glad you guys had this experience together. Tessa is livin’ the good life…ice cream twice a day sounds like heaven to me!
