This Saturday, May 7th, is the Brooklyn Heights Association’s 28th annual landmark house and garden tour, giving the public access to 5 historic townhouses and ours is one of them! Well, it’s our landlord’s townhouse, and her beautiful duplex and garden is clearly the draw of the house. As much as I would like to believe it is because of my decorating skills, the truth is, our little garden apartment was included by default. It is sure to be the red headed stepchild of the tour, but I’ll take it! My fancy society dreams are coming true!
The self guided tour takes place between 1pm – 5pm, rain or shine. Tickets are $40 (tax deductible) and can be purchased on the day between 12:30pm – 3:30pm at 129 Pierrepont Street. You can see pictures and a brief description of the houses on the tour here.
I’ll post pictures of our apartment and garden on Monday. This moment needs to be documented as our apartment is sure to never be this clean again. Happy Weekend!
